SALTO Systems

In 2001, a small team of security specialists founded the company SALTO in Oiartzun, Spain. The goal was clear: to develop a world-class access control system that was easy to use and highly efficient. Allowing users to control building access as needed and to secure all their doors without complicated and expensive cabling. Such a solution had to be simple to install and configure, cost-effective, reliable and characterized in the ease with which adjustments could be made to changing requirements.

SALTO's success story took its course and in just over 10 years led the company into the top 5 of the world's leading manufacturers of electronic access control systems. At the heart of this is the pioneering SVN (SALTO Virtual Network) platform. This includes the first stand-alone, battery-powered electronic locks for access control. The principle of SVN is data-on-card technology with patented read-write functionality. This allows electronic locks and cylinders to be placed in a virtual network without cables and controlled centrally via the ProAccess software.

Through continuous innovation and development, SALTO revolutionized access control around the world, in sectors where security is critical, from office and government buildings, to a variety of applications in healthcare, education, hotels and airports. Today, in addition to its headquarters in Oiartzun, SALTO now has 24 of its own offices worldwide. SALTO's access control solutions are located in more than 90 countries on more than 2 million doors.

SALTO in the Netherlands and Belgium
In the summer of 2011, SALTO Systems BV was founded in Amsterdam. Access control solutions were driven through new distribution channels in parallel with a distributor, which SALTO had already established in the Netherlands and Belgium since 2002. In 2013 followed the acquisition of all SALTO sales activities by the Dutch branch.

The local team of 16 employees guides the partner network in the sale of SALTO access control throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. All employees in field and inside sales, technical support and marketing have years of experience in the security industry. Thanks to this knowledge in technology and the market, SALTO has become a leading supplier of electronic access control in the Netherlands and Belgium.
