A collaboration of several care providers has led to the unique realization of Het Erf Urk, which consists of 86 care apartments spread over three residential buildings and a (future) petting zoo with a social and societal function. Clients Zorggroep Oude en Nieuwe Land, Philadelphia Zorg and Triade Vitree have jointly built for residents with a mental disability and elderly people with intensive care needs. Sustainability, lifespan and safety are central to this concept.
The buildings are equipped with ClimaRad's decentralized climate system, which consists of heat recovery units in the care apartments and ClimaRad B-Fans in the bathrooms. The heat recovery unit automatically supplies and removes air directly through the façade; the built-in convector serves for active heating/cooling. The unit is wirelessly connected to the B-Fan that provides extraction in the wet room. In this way, ventilation in the homes is always balanced. The ClimaRad Care H1C and ClimaRad Sensa H2X units also have a built-in Modbus Module for the benefit of the external BMS system. This application makes the management and control of the climate system clear and less time-consuming.
Demand-controlled ventilation per room is of great importance in healthcare, because in this way safety and comfort are guaranteed: air is not dispersed through different rooms and is always pre-heated. The installation also contributes to the future-proofing of the new building. When the function of the homes changes, it remains flexible in its layout.
