For the third year in a row, Newsweek and Statista share the World's Best Hospitals 2024. Nine Dutch hospitals are listed in this ranking. The BovenIJ moved up 7 spots this year, placing it at position 277.

The ranking includes 330 hospitals from 28 countries on smart technologies that stand out for their use of electronic functionalities. For example, remote care, digital imaging and the use of AI and robotics. Like last year, the top 10 consists mainly of American hospitals. The number of Dutch hospitals is increasing. This year, nine Dutch hospitals can be found in the list. In 2021, there were five.
