Solutions and Inspiration

IVVD's Healthcare Real Estate Day Cure on December 4 focuses on the most pressing issues shaping the hospital landscape of today and tomorrow. Nine speakers will shine their light on the renewal of healthcare and the role real estate plays in this process. On stage, experts, policymakers and innovators will share their insights and experiences. Together we explore how to turn the challenges in healthcare into opportunities. In doing so, we lay the foundations for a future-proof healthcare landscape and build the future of healthcare together!

The program

Vincent Eversdijk, chairman of the Healthcare branch group at BDO Netherlands, uses the BDO Benchmark Hospitals 2024 as a basis to explore possibilities for shaping the necessary (real estate) transition. In-depth investments in real estate, IT and sustainability are discussed. Ruben Peeters and Jean Maurice Kuijpers of RoyalHaskoningDHV highlight the main challenges such as financeability of real estate, staff shortages, sustainability and digitalization. They also look at the opportunities offered by parametric design techniques. Wim Scheerder, project leader for strategy at the Radboudumc, will also shed light on the complex route to a sustainable hospital. Overarching question here: how do you make the housing master plan resistant to 'rules of the game' that change while you are busy implementing?
