About the authors

Sigrid Sterckx is a professor of ethics and political and social philosophy. She is affiliated with the Department of Philosophy and Moral Sciences at Ghent University and is a founding member of the Bioethics Institute Ghent.

Wim Van Biesen is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Ghent University and medical head of the Kidney Diseases Department at UZ Gent. He is co-founder of the Consortium Justifiable Digital Healthcare at UZ Gent.
