Schell presents concealed cistern with integrated stagnant flush for barrier-free toilets

At the SHK, the German installation trade fair being held this week in Essen, Schell is showing the Montus Flow and Montus Flow H concealed cisterns. The Montus Flow H is a first, which has not previously been presented to the trade public. The cistern is primarily intended for toilets that are used less frequently. Both of the new built-in toilet cisterns offer the option of planning and performing stagnation flushes.

Regular use of toilets creates a powerful water change on the cold water side. This is essential for maintaining water quality in (semi-)public and commercial washrooms. Nevertheless, during multi-day breaks in use, such as during the vacation period or when occupancy is low, a hygiene protocol is needed. With the help of such a protocol, (potable) water quality is guaranteed at all taps. 

Both the Montus Flow and Montus Flow H can be connected to the Schell water management system SWS. Both concealed cisterns have integrated stagnation flushes, which can be scheduled and performed automatically using the water management system. Thanks to the Montus Flow H, even barrier-free toilets can be flushed automatically. The cisterns can be controlled either via the SWS water management system or using the SSC Bluetooth® Flow module.

Barrier-free toilet rooms for disabled persons are used less frequently. The Montus Flow H has been specially developed to perform automatic stagnation flushes here as well. The Flow H is suitable for standard-compliant installation and supports the maintenance of drinking water quality thanks to the integrated stagnation flush. Thanks to the stable module base, the reservoir module has a high load-bearing capacity, which makes it possible to attach sanitary wall elements, such as support handles, to the side. The reinforced corner-floor attachment provides additional stability to meet the high demands of barrier-free toilets. The Montus Flow H is the ideal choice if a support handle is also required in the adapted sanitary space.

The Montus Flow and Montus Flow H are pre-assembled and include a 5-meter power cord. The simple construction and height-adjustable legs allow the modules to be quickly installed in a freestanding wall or as a front wall installation. Both modules offer two-volume water-saving flushing. Flushing intervals and run times can be individually programmed via the Schell SWS water management system or via the SSC Bluetooth® Flow module. When integrated into SWS, corresponding electrical components such as bus extenders are installed in a standard flush or surface-mounted box above the suspended ceiling. 

Unlike other providers, no additional hot water line to the flush tank is required. All connections to hot water pipes to showers, sinks and kitchens can be flushed via SWS or SSC and electronic Schell faucets. This prevents an additional heat input in the pre-wall construction and thus also in the cold water system. In addition, steam formation and condensation in the flush tank is avoided this way. The brass magnetic cover is integrated into the cistern and therefore well protected. To regulate the water level in the cistern, stagnant rinses are routed directly to the drain line. In this way, the water level in the cistern remains within the norm.

The Montus Flow is compatible with all Schell control panels in the Montus series. These are available in eight different design variations. These control panels can also be used for the Montus Flow H.  

The Montus Flow and Montus Flow H flush-mounted toilet cisterns ideally support the maintenance of drinking water quality in buildings and offer numerous advantages for installation and operation. During the development of the modules, a holistic approach was the focus. The Montus Flow and Montus Flow H are a perfect addition to the Schell SWS water management system. The SWS-compatible Schell fixtures serve all taps in public and commercial washrooms and now also do so in barrier-free toilets.
