On Tuesday, November 19, we are hosting a symposium on designing spaces for people with dementia. This symposium is of interest to architects, facility managers/service providers and housing managers in healthcare.
Dementia is becoming more common. One in five people will develop dementia. Much research is needed to prevent and treat dementia. But adapting the living environment, taking into account the experiences of people with dementia, is also important. Proper interior design makes one feel at home. As a flooring manufacturer, we receive many questions about furnishings and dementia that go beyond just the choice of flooring. That is why we are organizing on Tuesday, Nov. 19, the symposium Designing for People with Dementia. This symposium is about designing the total living environment for people with dementia where it is not just about the floor.
