Damvent Benelux, based in Enkhuizen, offers an energy-efficient solution for hospitals and other healthcare institutions with its hybrid HVAC units. Managing Director Peter Rekkers plays a central role in positioning the company in the Dutch market. "We are the next generation in air treatment," said Rekkers, who has been involved with the company since 2014. His goal is to establish Damvent's name as a leading provider of all-in-one HVAC solutions in the Netherlands.
What makes Damvent so special? "Our units provide everything needed for a comfortable indoor environment in one unit," explains Rekkers. "We design, manufacture and supply innovative hybrid HVAC units that combine heating, cooling, ventilation and humidification, which are remotely controllable, in one unit. This means that each unit can be individually controlled in terms of temperature and humidity depending on what is required in an occupied space; something that is essential in healthcare." Damvent's units are designed to be not only self-sufficient, but also easy to install and maintain.
"Traditional HVAC systems often consist of multiple components and multiple suppliers that must be installed and connected separately, where time and space can be an issue," Rekkers says. "With our units, everything is integrated: fans, filters, heat recovery, heat pump and control technology." Damvent strives to make installers' work easier by already fully realizing the installation at the factory. "Our units are turnkey when they arrive on site. Within a few hours, the unit can already be running. This is a great advantage in the dynamic healthcare sector."
Energy efficiency is a key selling point for Damvent. By combining smart technology with high-quality materials, the customer saves significantly on both installation costs and energy consumption. This efficiency is due to the integrated heat pump and smart controllers that ensure optimal energy management.
Damvent's HVAC units are suitable for any type of climate and can effortlessly handle temperatures from -20 to +40°C. This makes them ideal for a variety of environments, from hospitals to clean rooms and even industrial applications. "Our systems are so advanced that they can also be fully monitored remotely. If a problem arises, we can immediately dial in and fix it without anyone having to go on site," said Rekkers. "So in addition to providing fresh air and an optimal indoor environment, our units are also designed to be easy to maintain."
Although Damvent already has a strong market position in England, there is still work to be done in the Netherlands. "Dutch installers are used to traditional systems and sometimes see hybrid solutions as a risk," explains Rekkers. "But the reality is that our systems are actually safer and more efficient, and much less complex to install and maintain." With projects such as supplying hybrid HVAC units to the cure and care market and specialized solutions for clean rooms, Damvent is well on its way to strengthening its position in the Netherlands. "We see more and more demand from the healthcare sector, as hospitals are progressive in applying innovative solutions."
With its focus on sustainability, efficiency and user-friendliness, Damvent Benelux intends to continue to grow in the Dutch market. Rekkers concludes, "We have a wonderful product that perfectly meets the needs of the healthcare sector. Now the task is to give that awareness in the Netherlands a big boost."
